Description:
Big Spin is cycling training for triathletes.
This class will consist of a 1.5-2.5
hour stationary cycling program, including
base training, technique drills, speedwork,
and transitions. You will need a stationary
trainer and your own bike.
BIG SPIN differs from other indoor
cycling programs because it is taught
by TRIATHLETES with the TRIATHLON
SEASON in mind. We will not blow
your legs away but doing excessive
intensity, if it is not time for it
yet. We believe in an a strategic
periodized season. And everything
in this class uses legitimate cycling
technique and strategies, unlike some
spin classes that are out there.
Moreover, the venue is ideal for this
kind of workout! At Wellness Center
at Baptist, we have huge group training
room with a full compliment of functional
strength equipment and stereo system.
There is also a swimming pool just
a few feet away, and an indoor track,
so we will be practicing true transition
skills.
Even though this is the south, the
winter can be cold and dreary. It
is always hot and your training session
is always focused at BIG SPIN.
